The Beginning…

If you looked at any of the pics in the  PHOTOS link, you will see how much stuff was left behind. We went through it all and kept some things we wanted. The rest ended up on tables in the garage for the garage sale.

The plan was to clean out the barn to store stuff from the garage as we cleaned it out. It took about 2 and a half days to go from the disorganized mess above to the organized chaos it became…

We could see the floor!

No more straw. But the smell lingered for weeks.

As soon as the garage was clean, we moved the tables in and prepared for the garage sale. My nice, clean garage was now full of things i didn’t want. We hoped to sell it all. The garage sale was Friday, July 18th and Saturday, July 19th.

Welcome to our blog. We are just getting started and hope to document our project through this blog. Feel free to look at the pictures in the PHOTOS link at the right. You will see the initial pictures we took when we had the inspection done. The house was full of the former owner’s possessions as you will see. Can anyone say, “GARAGE SALE!!” And CHECK OUT THE WOODWORK!! Brie hopes to strip the paint off and is testing natural strippping formulas to see which brand will work best. Then, we’ll order a truckload of it!

You may notice the block building in some of the pictures. We took pictures of the inside of it since it used to be an Ice Cream Stand a long time ago. More about that later. Currently, our plans are to demolish that building because it’s an eyesore from the road and it’s no longer zoned for commercial use.

Check back often as we update this blog with our experiences, pictures, and stories of progression.
